The Box (2012)

My film The Box was part of a presentation of the best animation from ASIFA at the Canlandiranlar Animators Festival in Istanbul and Ankara, Turkey. One of the greatest honors of my career.

ASIFA (Association Internationale du Film d’Animation) was founded in 1960 in Annecy, France. It has now more then 58 branches from the US to Australia, from Iran to Greece, from Egypt to Brazil, with more then 5000 members. ASIFA helped the establishment of the most prestigious animation festivals in the world such as Annecy, Zagreb, Ottawa, Hiroshima and Espinho. ASIFA’s main goal is to organize events and festivals to increase worldwide interest and knowledge of the art of animation. Since 2012 the Canlandiranlar Association is Turkey branch of the world’s first and most important animation association ASIFA. For the Canlandiranlar Animators Festival, Nelson Shin gathered the selections Best of ASIFA, Best of ASIFA Korea and the retrospective of ASIFA Directors Bordo and John Halas.
